CDT has the pleasure to support the development of a Company which has patented a completely new method for the production of beer through hydrodynamic cavitation. Since the dawn of time, thousands of years ago, man has produced beer with essentially the same technology, i.e. using fossil fuels ...until the application of the controlled hydrodynamic cavitation: in fact, this new technology allows for the production of the first 100% ecological beer. Industrial brewing causes huge emissions of CO2eq, while this technology immediately achieves ZERO CO2eq. It ensures further benefits, such as:
- More efficiency, notably in terms of reduction by more than 40% of the energy requirement of the production process compared to old technology;
- Better healthiness, thanks to the preservation of the “good” substances in beer (+polyphenols and +antioxidants) and the reduction of the adverse effects of the “bad” ones (-gluten);
- A longer shelf-life.
The implementation of the cavitation equipment basically requires one step: you plug the equipment into the tanks used for brewing with the old technology, and that's it.
In a variety of applications, other than brewing, controlled hydrodynamic cavitation can bring significant benefits in terms of plant and process simplification, ease of use, energy, efficiency and healthiness: in a nutshell, this may happen in all production processes that require extraction, co-extraction, grinding and/or boiling, and it actually happens, for instance, in the production of vegetable milk (e.g. oat, rice, soy, hazelnuts, or almond milk), instant coffees, nutraceuticals, etc.
Recently published scientific papers confirm that cavitation also eliminates the precursor of dimethylsulfide, S-methylmethionine, reducing its time by up to 70% without the use of chemical additives:
